The original company, Amerivest Properties, Inc., was established in 1985, and has been succeeded by Amerivest Properties, a division of the Amerivest Companies and the Amerivest Group LLC.

The Amerivest Companies real estate operations are based in Detroit, Michigan, and formerly Farmington Hills, Rochester, Sterling Heights, and Redford, Michigan, and have also operated offices nationally and internationally.
